Commissives describe a modification of the world in conformance
with the propositional content that has to be done by the speaker
itself. A commitment of the sender A conveyed to the receiver B states
that A will change the world according to the content he conveyed in the
commitment to the receiver B.
Example: A promises to inform B on regular basis about XY’s stock price. A offers B to buy shares of XY at a price of 40. |
